728 Community Alliance is a grassroots group of parents, grandparents, students, and community members dedicated to the success and safety of every learner in ISD 728. Our vision is simple: ISD728 should be a safe environment where all students can grow and contribute to brighter, more connected communities. Our mission is to foster open communication and build strong community partnerships with a student-centered focus so every student in ISD728 has the resources and support to thrive.
Who we are
- Members: Parents, grandparents, students, and community members across ISD728 and Minnesota.
- Allies: Elk River Education Association (EREA), School Board Integrity Project, Public School Strong, Parents for the Freedom to Read, and many local advocates.
- Not affiliated with: Moms4Liberty or Minnesota Parents Alliance (MPA).
What we do
We build meaningful partnerships, influence policy, and empower community voices so ISD728 schools remain responsive, inclusive, and focused on student success. Our strategy centers on trust and collaboration between families, educators, and community partners through:
- Promoting transparency
- Amplifying community voices
- Supporting student-centered policies
- Facilitating open dialogue, inclusive engagement, and shared decision-making

- Regular presence at school board and committee meetings
- Making constructive public comments at meetings
- Engaging with board members and district administration
- Encouraging broad community involvement and dialogue
- Raising awareness about key policy changes and board decisions
- Building a positive community reputation rooted in collaboration and facts
